Sunlight nourishes our mental and physical strength, our courage and our desire to live. With nature as the source, this power comes as no opposite to fragility and vulnerability.

"光は力を養う"("Hikari wa Chikara wo Yashinau", meaning 'Light nourishes my strength' jpn.) is an ambient piece, paced by Taiko drums and Bongos, with subtle electronic elements which softly cradle the human voice (the "sonification", if you will, of our inner strength).

It captures the growth in power of these otherwise delicate overlapping voices, without, however, compromising on that delicacy, underlining how life is both incredibly robust and frighteningly fragile.

As her first official release since her 2019 debut solo piano album "Mayonaka", "光は力を養う" outshines all past works in terms of production, compositional coherence and expressive power.
